Admission to DIGISOC is based on an online supervised admission test designed to ensure fairness and equal access for all applicants.

The test assesses critical thinking competences, understood as the ability to analyse written and visual information, interpret meaning, and draw logical conclusions. It is designed to evaluate reasoning skills rather than discipline-specific prior knowledge.

Test format, scoring, and selection

The test will have a duration of 75 minutes and will consist of 80 multiple-choice questions, each with four answer options, only one of which is correct. The admission test will be assessed according to the following criteria:

  • 1 point for each correct answer;
  • – 0.25 points for each incorrect answer;
  • 0 points for each unanswered question.

The minimum score required to pass the admission test is 16 points.

Passing the test confirms basic eligibility for the programme.
Admission to DIGISOC is then determined through a ranking of test results, taking into account the number of available study places.

Competences assessed

Test items are designed around the following indicators of critical thinking:

  • Making inferences
    Evaluating whether conclusions follow from written or visual information.

  • Recognising assumptions
    Identifying unstated assumptions underlying statements.

  • Making deductions
    Determining whether specific conclusions logically follow from given information.

  • Interpreting information
    Assessing whether conclusions are supported solely by the presented material.

  • Analysing and evaluating arguments
    Distinguishing between strong and weak arguments in relation to a given statement.

How to prepare

The admission test is grounded in key thematic areas central to the DIGISOC programme, including:

  • Digital society and digital transformation

  • Social innovation

  • Global citizenship in a digital context

The test does not assess factual knowledge of specific materials, but applicants’ ability to critically analyse information and arguments related to these themes.

All written/visual material used for test items is drawn from the official reading list in the Call (Annex 1).  Applicants are invited to read these documents carefully.

  • a PC or Mac with webcam and microphone

  • a stable internet connection (minimum 1.5 Mbps upload/download)

  • a smartphone or tablet with camera (used as an environmental camera; a tablet may replace the phone, but not the PC)

Before the test, applicants must complete a required equipment check (audio/microphone, webcam on PC, camera on smartphone/tablet, internet connection).

Only after the system check has been successfully completed, applicants receive the convocation email with the access link and test time.

Candidates film the room with the smartphone camera and position it behind them so it frames the surroundings.

Identity verification includes photos of the ID document and the candidate’s face; specific ID types are listed in the Call.
By activating the video link, candidates consent to the recording of images and related personal data for monitoring purposes.
